Some people are naturally talented in the field of music, with an ear for what sounds good and their fingers on the pulse of what listeners really want to hear. Other people work diligently to develop their craft, devoting long hours and striving continuously for perfection. It’s rare to find all of those qualities in one person. Add to that a personality that motivates artists, management, and fans to give 100% to the music, because at the end of the day – WHAT MATTERS MORE THAN THE MUSIC? Everything Happens for a Reason. David ‘REASON’ Whitten Jr, is giving purpose to solid production and quality sound. With Reason you get natural ability, hard work ethic, adaptability AND pure audio heat. With Reason you get everything. The music is everything! Reason is not new to the industry, or a old throwback producer. He’s a professional music producer in his prime. He’s worked with Milwaukee’s most notable talent and helped the aspiring artists achieve more than they ever imagined. He’s given life to their projects. Instead of his beats following trendy burnouts in music, he uses sounds that are classically hot and versatile. He’s leading in the field where other producers can only hope to follow. His publishing company – Everything Happens 4 A Reason – is a culmination of years of experience and networking in the community. Reason doesn’t need an introduction. You already know what it is. And he prefers to let the beats introduce themselves…

Who is Atia you may ask? Atia was born on February 24,1988 in the state of NC. She’s an R&B singer, songwriter, as well as fashion model. Atia grew up in a small town named Fremont,NC. She was the only child between her mother and father, but later on in her life her father had two boys named Cincier and Kaleb by her stepmother. She’s a family oriented individual who loves to spend time with her family as much as she can. Growing up she always dreamt of being a singer as well as model. She used to prance around the house and sing her little heart out.Her mother used to always tell her to “Hush that noise up!”, and Atia would respond by saying, “Ma, one day this voice is going to make lots of money”. On the model end, Atia has always loved fashion even as a young one. Her mother signed her up for modeling when she was just an infant modeling as a Gerber baby and she used to do ample local photoshoots and talent shows in her home state. Watching her mother dress up inspired Atia to really get into fashion because to her everytime her mother would get dressed it seemed like she was always coming off the runway. And Atia always wanted to be just like her mother.

As the years went by Atia became so focused in trying to live a normal childhood that she stopped her modeling, and singing. Due to the fact that her mother wanted a better life for the both of them, Atia and her mother moved to New Jersey. Atia started going to school and was going through a lot as a child. Her main pain came from her father not playing a roll in her life. Her mother was a strong woman who taught her how to stand on her own two feet and to never depend on someone solely.

When Atia reached the age of 16 thats when she started getting really serious about putting her dreams back into motion. She started writing again and doing vocal lessons just so she could perfect her craft. As time went on,it seemed like Atia wasn’t going anywhere but that never stopped her from pursuing her dreams. She recorded a song called “Not Easy” with a local group named T.H.C from Willingboro,NJ. She continued working with them doing features such as “Do It Slow” on T.H.C’s album- 2010 Topic of Discussion. Her features received ample play back, seeing the great responses that she received pushed her even more and her confidence sky-rocketed!

Now at the age of 23, Atia is trying to be a smart business woman,in making herself a brand with the help of her manager Jamal Mobley from Incognito Management Group LLC.

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, west of southern New Jersey and north of hell- hard workers, Philly Cheese Steaks and the city of Brotherly Love is a place where bands like The Roots become sources of inspiration, rappers like Cassidy are considered simply “good” and local neighborhoods become comfortable combat zones. Street corners become temples to praise local idols and liquor stores become houses of worship. Yet and still, it wouldn’t take Kodak to capture the influence of Islam, soulful music and creative expression.

Philly- the land of State Property, Jill Scott, Tom Hanks “infested with AIDS” and the original home of the lead role in Seven Pounds- the city is much more than a resemblance of Heaven’s ghetto- but a reflection of a huge crock pot of various flavors, spices and traditions, mashed together to create beautiful babies and emcees like Courtney “2ew Gunn Ciz” Carroll.

“I saw a lot of good,” says Ciz. “And a lot of evil.” After admitting that those experiences helped shape him, the native Philly emcee (with more outlets than an extension cord) has taken those experiences as inspiration.

The somewhat “deep” rapper, with a mixture of street knowledge and formal education- with the experience of growing up while watching his father’s best friend, producer, label head and Philly legend, Dr. Shock and traveling shoes that could fit any nomadic figure in your history textbook- Ciz is much more than a modern musician. Rapping since the age of 11 and developing wit, style and definite knowledge, this innovative emcee is self-defined, self-taught and committed to what makes him happy- raw and untapped music.

As a CEO, toured musician and as a past inmate in the Philadelphia County Prison, Courtney Carroll separates himself from the average musician by fusing his experience as a Nuclear Electrician Mate for the United States Navy to his current position as Director of Regional Operations for iStandard, as a leap past the industry’s external matters. The rugged, hard ripping and poised emcee owns YMBE and explores the actual science behind the business, by creating a way for other talented musicians.

After studying political science at North Carolina Wesleyan College in 1999 and earning himself the National Defense Award during Operation Enduring Freedom, the now Atlanta and Philadelphia resident is turning the tables of urban culture by providing Artist Consulting Services for hip-hop and R&B artists. He proves that emcees can do it all.

With that, Ciz has been featured in LA Weekly, The Philadelphia Metro,Foundation Magazine and several online publications. He has collaborated with Bad Boy’s E. Ness, Reed Dollaz and singer/songwriter Emilia Noelle, just to name a few. With over 30,000 plays onHipHopDX.com and over 40 shows done in the New York City area, Carroll, the son of an absent father who turned to drug addiction, is an example of hardship, passion and persistence. Winner of showcase after showcase, traveling from state to state, bridging the gap in the streets into online social networking- Ciz is the epitome of a progressive emcee, living and gliding through success. In 2010 Ciz did a 52 Week, 52 Bar freestyle series that featured on such popular sites as 2DopeBoyz.com, istandardproducers.com and maadmanagement.com.

Ciz’s latest effort is The Hitchhikers guide to the Hip Hop Game Continues. He has been featured on several mix tapes and compilations including: United We Stand, Divided We Fallfrom High Intentions Records, DJ Bedtyme 357′s Concealed Weapons, Legend’s This is Why They Hate Me hosted by AC, Veteran’s Day hosted by Torae and Back to the Basics hosted by Termanology. Mr. Carroll will not stop.

Amongst all of his musical accomplishments, he is also the General Manager of the world’s number one producer coalition Istandard.

“There’s a piece of Philly in all my music.” Says Ciz. “Music is my journey and I carry Philly with me everywhere I go…”

Biography

Born in February 1988 in Washington DC. Letting the sounds of the city guide him Ace started writing raps at the age of twelve. He started writing lyrical verses from being inspired by Scarface, Ice Cube, and Biggie. From growing up as a young teen and experiencing different life situations he used his voice to cope with his struggles. In 2001 he formed a group called “The Wild Cards,” which consisted with Tony ( his cousin ) and Rick ( his brother .) The group recorded and collaborated creating several songs such as “We Cant Stop” and “No Laughing Matter.” Sadly, a few months later the other group members decided to take their careers in different directions by no longer rapping which left Ace to be a solo artist. Ace being the determined lyricist he pushed himself to be the ultimate rapper alone.

In 2002, Ace met Syn and recorded several songs before joining with two other rappers ( Double R and Marley ) in the neighborhood to form Tru Shootaz. Tru Shootaz put together several mixtapes such as Strictly 4 The Streets, Were Focused, and Truthfully Speaking. In 2005, Sincere, the last member of Tru Shootaz joined the group. By 2008 the group took on the city with their latest singles “Hate” , “Swag Splashin” , and “What A Hater Think.” Throughout the Metropolitan area the group started to make themselves known by doing shows at the local venues. In 2009, Ace released his first solo mixtape titled “D.O.P.E” ( Direction, Opportunity, Pursuit, Execution ) With the help of his mixtape he partnered with Incognito Management and is now working on an album called “Legend In the Making.”
